Default Pay and vacation

If one were hired today here are the rates they would make per year for the next 5 years...after that...a new contract will dictate. Again...maybe not the best...but for a first contract..not the worst by far.

YOS----Captain-----First Officer
1. 60.41 --------23.18
2. 63.50 --------34.27
3. 66.81 --------37.10
4. 69.56 --------38.99
5. 72.40 --------40.40
6. 75.92 --------42.10

Vacation
Months on payroll
0 - 71 (5yrs) 13 days a year
72 - 155 (13yrs) 20 days a year
156 - 227 (19yrs) 24 days a year
228 + (19+yrs) 26 days a year

Certainly a tough call. To be honest with you i don't see anybody hired today being a captain before march of 08. Compass just won't have the aircraft on property to justify having 100 captains being paid. I guess you have to take into account what QOL issues you would prefer. I believe the first 20 aircraft will be based out of mMSP... the next 16 aircraft may be evenly split amongst a MEM and DET base. The company will be going to prefential bidding... I really do not know what to expect out of PFB, whether the lines will be commutable etc. My guess is they are going to fly us a great deal with many longer haul flights, which might translate to more monthly days off (ie hitting max block hours before reaching your min day off ceiling) I personally expect at least 15 days off per month but i will be pretty senior as well top... 35. Another thing to consider is the airplane. I love this plane, previously i flew a CRJ and this plane is so much nicer to fly then the CRJ-200... anybody hired to fly the E175 will not be dissappointed in its performance and automation.

Default Compass Interview Gouge

I got the call yesterday and have an interview in a couple of weeks. Any idea what the process is like?

FAR 121 you can't actually fly more than 100 hours in a month. I don't under stand the credit verbage.

Sorry I should have clarified. Once you hit 100 hrs of credit, you can't pick up any additional flying. Due to duty rigs and other premiums, it's possible to hit 100 hrs of credit without flying the 100 hrs.

Thats sounds highly possible, but since it has been brought up we are searching the answer to this question from the union right now.

It wouldn't make sense to stop your flying at 100 CRDT hrs. It would cause mass confusion as some of our lines are built close to 90 hrs without any of the extra premiums.

I will report back as soon as I hear something else.

Yeah man that's nice isn't it. A change from those 110 hr lines of the past.
I was thinking it might also just affect ppl picking up 91 flying after hitting the limit? Still not sure.

Hi!

It seems Compass will need MORE pilots than a typical airline, if they stop flying you once you reach 100 pay credit hours. A guy I know flew about 75 hours at another airline and had about 110 pay credit hours. By doing this, Compass may only get 60-70 hours of productivity per pilot per month.
