There were a couple TSA guys that were interviewed at RAH not very long ago. The chief pilot for CHQ came down on them pretty hard about abandoning their company. Said it showed something about their character and made them a higher liability to hire. I took a few new hires I saw at the hotel for XJT to lunch since I had a vehicle two days ago. He was one of them and was a nice and intelligent guy. They simply didn't like the fact that he hadn't shown loyalty.
Depending on how the person hiring you feels it could hurt.

And you know he'd do the same thing if he wasn't where he is now

That's ridiculous. How can the Chief Pilot say that they're "extra liability?!" Makes no sense at all, in fact. I'm sure he knows that when a TSA guy makes that jump to RAH it's to STAY. He should certainly know that they aren't running from TSA to RAH to somebody else...

Exactly and RAH hasnt had any problems hiring TSA refugees in the past, I can name at least 25 ex waterskiers that are at CHQ, RW, and SA. And i know there are well more than the ones i know! The thing about lateral moves is, regional to regional isnt a lateral move now days, COLGAN vs. Skywest, Piedmont Vs. XJet, yes they are all "regionals", but when it comes to work rules, contracts, equipment and pay. Regionals quite differ amongst themselves!
