I had a lady comment on boarding (in a CRJ 700) that she was almost as big as the plane...I told her she looked fantastic for weighing 70,000 pounds. The look was priceless as she slinked back to her seat.
Also had a guy during boarding with his wife on a 1900 say that "this is a piece of sh*t". As they deplaned in CLT, I wished her well and told him "not bad for a piece of sh*t, eh?!?!". She roared!

Q: "What's the movie today?"
A: "It's a film about why small airplanes crash."
Q: "Are you old enough to fly?"
A: "Yes, but I am missing prom for this."
And perhaps the best one I've heard, not even a question, just a statement:
"That was just like going to the carnival!"
Enjoy the Beech...these are the good old days.

yeah that is the most common question I get while in uniform... followed closely by: are you a flight attendant? are you a gate agent? are you like a private pilot? are you in the band? (I'm not kidding in the last one.)

As some of you may know, the E145 is almost the same length as the 737-200/500 (98'0" vs. 101'9"). Which leads to the best response to a pax comment EVER:
Pax: Ohhhh...this is a small airplane...
Captain: Yeah, but what we lack in girth we make up for in length.
Had me ROLLING! Nothing like a good penis joke.

I don't know if this one has been mentioned or not but I used to use it all the time:
As pax are boarding you get the standard "Are you old enough to fly this thing?"
My response, "Actually no, but it's Bring Your Kid to Work Day and that's my Dad up front."
I also had a pax in DEN berate me after the leg from Sheridan, Wyoming because "you kids had no idea where you were going, you flew the wrong way outta Sheridan then finally turned around and went the right way!" Imagine me trying to explain an Obstacle Departure Procedure that requires you to go north to the VOR then turn...

The other day I was flyin a united 700 with the aft lav only. Yeah I had to do the walk of shame and go potty. I was confronted by an intoxicated woman about 45. She began shouting who's flying the plane, I have kids older than you, did you sleep at a holladay inn express last night etc etc, drawing attention of all our 67 pax. I told her my mom drops me off and picks me up from the airport, but I did sleep at a holladay inn express last night.

this is true.. I fly a turboprop and even I don't really like riding as pax in it.. too damn loud. Sometimes I just wanna whip out my bose and wear it just to drown out the noise. but then again some tprops are comfier in other ways then jets (well, rjs anyway)... like dash 8 cabin is fatter and roomier than rj cabin it seems.
The Dash-8 is one of my favorite planes to fly on as a passenger for the reason you mentioned above. I'd fly on a Dash-8 over a CRJ (if I wasn't in a hurry to get somewhere), especially over the -700, any day.
