Big Sky QOL?

Big Sky QOL?
Hi all, I was wondering if there were any pilots currently flying for BS that could pass on any info regarding the QOL flying out of BOS. I searched the forum but nothing very helpful or current. I live outside BOS and think it could be a good option considering I already live here. Any info would be greatly appreciated. The B1900 just is not a pretty looking bird but I hear it is a great plane to fly except for the fact it has no AP. Thanks again.

Anyone? Compared to Colgan, which also has bases in the northeast, which one is the better of the two? I am just preparing to let the resume's out the door(hard drive) and just wondering which place could be tolerated for a few years. Again, all responses appreciated, Thanks.

I am sure that each airline has good and bad points. As to which is better, it depends on what you are looking for. Why don't you apply to both, and see what happens. It seems like choosing between the two should come after both have offered you jobs.

Both airlines.. err.. umm.. flight schools? bridge programs.. have their points. Its all about quality of life.. like do you prefer to be punched in the nuts or passing a stone the size of a tennis ball??
I'm not sure which is which. but maybe dont get a hurry.. apply somewhere that you'll be proud of.

Hmmmmm, interesting analogy. A punch to the nuts only hurts for a few minutes but it could take a while to pass a kidney stone. I live 35 minutes from both PVD and BOS so I think things would be a little easier than commuting. I am not concerned about being offered a job, I am an ideal candidate for an airline. I have never failed a checkride or exam (PVT, INST, COM, MULTI, CFI @ BOS FSDO, CFII and MEI), excellent credentials, all american looking guy with great personality ( not an overweight nasty) former US Marine. I'm not trying to sound conceded I just know I would be an asset to a company. I am interviewing the airline as much as they are interviewing me. Anyway, thats why I want to know first hand about these types of places to work at before I bother applying. I mean c'mon, I have read about people failing checkrides and getting hired which I think should be a red flag. If you cant pass a checkride maybe there is reason to believe that the individual has a deficiency somewhere. Just my opinion. Sorry for the long winded post.

There are a couple of recent active threads that will give you some insight on Big Sky. They might answer some of your questions.

You can probably find the same for Colgan if you do a search.
So you believe never failing a check ride means you are free of deficiency?
