This is why Colgan doesn't need a Union.

Low oil pressure light today in our plane and shut down the number 1, followed by emergency landing. Maintenance log shows the plane written up 3 times this week for oil pressure- just add some oil- ops check complete.

So we land safely, and instead of getting the rest of the day off, we take a cab to another airport, to catch the Shuttle to LGA, then deadhead 2 more short legs to ferry another plane back here. We waited 3 hours in the crew room because they wouldnt buy us a day room to catch a nap in.
Of course, this is after we refused to fly the broken plane on a ferry flight after more oil was added.

Thanks for voting NO.

The trick to solving this one is to make the writeup read something like this: "Oil pressure on number 1 engine low in flight at FL190."
Can't ops check that on the ground. :D

When writing it up, reference the other write ups in the current write up.

I hope this is not the norm at Colgan...

That sounds about right. Had a three hour mx delay yesterday, when they finally fixed it storms had moved in. Problem was we had prop heat MEL'd so we could not climb above it...had to wait longer for storm to pass.

Today was a 1 hr delay for mx on a plane that just came out of Manassas mx.

Where is SAAB and his typical Colgan bashing? Why not leave the Colgan complaining to those of us who actually work there.

I had that plane last week with the low oil pressure light. IN our case the gauges were fine but they did add oil to I believe the prop. Normal operating procedure here at Colgan. I love the circling apps at mins in heavy rain two of them today quite exciting

I do not mind the flying. You can throw the Saab around and she keeps asking for more. I just like it when the work.

I think the fire trucks were enough to raise some attention. ;)

Because I was there longer than you, and I have experienced more BS than you have, yet you still seem to stand up for your airline yet day after day this type of Bull**** goes on, why dont you go ask Lou Casella about write ups and how Colgan & Co went to bat for him.................
