I'm guessing I don't have to report it?!
I didnt report it. I interpret the rules the same as Evilboy.

CVG reserve availability for today...

ID Pos Sen Base Fleet Group

FO CVG CR7 Base Date 7 Feb

Show All Reserves

No Crewmembers on Reserve for base 'CVG', fleet 'CR7', position 'FO' and date '07Feb09'

100% completion and no unused reserves... a perfect day for crew scheduling. Pizza for everyone! Why even mess with staffing with results like that?

Luckily, there are two reserves available tomorrow and one available on Monday.

Speaking of which, when is ng4 gonna have a "Captains' Lunch" to hobknob with the CEOs of the flightdeck?

The vage owes us pizza for the November lunch he scrubbed - you know, the week before his sudden departure.

They are no longer "Captians lunches," as they should. They are now for every pilot.

Does anyone smell possible recalls in the near future?

With the departure of...15 or so people in early retirement..and COLAs and voluntaries coming out...and how SHORT STAFFED Comair has been since 10/5/2008..how can they not?

If the company is staffing for a 100 a/c fleet, how many pilots are required to properly staff a fleet of that size?

So that's official ey?

Well

that'd be in the ball park of 1000-1100

...well that's a normal airline staffing model

the Comair staffing model will be between 800-850 i'm sure

Nevermind on the recalls... :-\

Yeah after they tally up all the early out/55 point people, there's a big cut coming company wide if there aren't many takers.

R.P was saying about two months ago that we were going down to 1050 or so pilots in the first quarter of 2009.
