I don't think I'll go back, because we would be sent to JFK on short call reserve. Somone else can have my spot. I'd make more money and have better QOL on unemployment than reserve in JFK. Now, I'm not really sure if you can actually bypass a recall, because wouldn't the unemployment office consider it as refusing work? Personally, I dont think we will see any recalls anyway...

I was pretty adamant to myself about not going back; commuting to JFK reserve, well, sucks. But as others have mentioned it may come down to a matter of necessity if no other employment opportunities open up. I'm getting some resumes out there and I still hope to find another flying gig but it's not so easy right now. As things look however, it looks like if recalls happen at all, it is going to take a long time, so I'm keeping positive that things will turn around in the industry and I'll find something (better) before ComedyAir decides to recall.

well it appears that I now have had an early dose of AIDS in my airline career courtesy of Comair. The furlough had caused my girlfriend and I into a long distance relationship as I was no longer able to J/S and non-rev to visit her. This resulted in tension due to distance and an inevidable break-up. I'm sure most of you don't really care and have been there in some way shape or form, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

Continue as normal....3825 Comair

33 total pilots took the 55/EO. Call crew forecasting and planning and they will tell you that we are losing 2500 approx. in September. Sorry guys, but I don't see any recalls coming. They will tell you that the block reduction will further come out CVG.

To recall 150 pilots we need a 6000 hours increase in blcok hours.
