Not sure, it mentioned that he was furloughed. IIRC he was CVG based, but I cant remember.

He was CVG based. He was in my new hire class this last june and we were all furloughed 10/5/08. He was a hilarious guy and a riot to be around. I wish the best for his family.

Does anyone know if he had a flying job in the Pacific NW? I remember him telling me that he was from the Orlando area. Very sad.

Nope, he was probably a week off IOE from the 50 until the furlough hit. We were all in the second to last class that was run this year.

MCO newspaper reports he and a friend rented a plane in the area for cross country flying. They were minutes away from their destination. No distress call was made. May they rest in peace.
