The markets will open in a few minutes here in the US as global markets open with HUGE sell-offs. Stocks in a free fall once again. President Obama comes out and says to the American people that it really isn't that bad and that we should be out spending. WHAT MONEY DOES HE THING I HAVE TO SPEND?

Well the stimulus kickes in to my umployment check at the end of the month. An extra $25 a week, $100 a month. That would help me by a box of pampers, baby wipes, and beer for me. But I wish I had a steady paycheck. I hope the stocks hit the bottom so they can go up now. Atleast some airline stock are going up now. I want to buy some jetblue stock I can see them at or near $20 by the end of the summer.
Additional $25 weekly payment to unemployment recipients
Federal legislation has been passed allowing an additional $25 weekly payment to unemployment recipients. These payments are expected to begin in late March 2009, retroactive to week ending March 1, 2009. No additional action will be necessary on your part in order to receive these payments. The last week for which additional payments can be made is the week ending July 4, 2010. Check our website weekly for updates.

They are comparing the block hours from last fall to the increase we have this summer. Well of course, we are going to have a massive block hour reduction if we compare it to last September's schedule. We won't know anything until those fall numbers come out. It could be a huge decrease/increase/ stay the same? No one knows. We just have to wait and see what the Fall schedule looks like.
Just my two cents, which isn't really worth much.

I would really hate to take away the whole doom and gloom portrait you got going here.....but maybe, just maybe......... the company has communicated block hour reductions in September......because we DON'T have a fall schedule yet??
