What happens when August comes around, and Comair block hour capacity is once again reduced for the winter months?

I'm my opinion it's hard to commit my life to a company that is quick to furlough employee's at the drop of a hat. Their reputation has already been established for this precedent.

Then again, there are no specific plans to recall anyone in the near future.

Thoughts?
You go back to make some money, all the while looking around for something else, because you know sooner or later you will be out on the street again if you stay at Comair.
Six months is the time limit I set for myself coming back. After July 19, I will not go back. If I find something better before the six months, then I won't be back.

That's my B-Day! Maybe we can both celebrate not working at Comair on that glorious day.

I just got a new job, start training in 4 days. Unless they offer recalls with auto upgrades, (NEVER GONA HAPPEN!) I am not going back. I wasted enough time at Comair, time to start all over again.

P.S. I am in the first 25 to be called back so knowing I wont go back might help them below me. Good luck.

You know I was thinking about this before, how the hell are they going to expect to deadhead everyone with only 4 flights a day to jfk. your right, there gonna need at least 5 shuttle flights a day.

So who updates the company profiles on APC? I love how they put a number on "anticipated" recalls in august when the company hasn't said a word about recalls other than they don't see the need to. Comair doesn't even know their flight schedule past august.

Maybe it's all about $$$, but why not offer TDY up to JFK? If this block hour increase is a temporary thing they could get takers to cover it short term. I for one would sit reserve in JFK with them paying for the hotel and perdiem 6 days at a time. Also, I am not sure this will result in a lot of deadheads for lineholders. There will be some, but I am thinking that a CVG trip will originate with something like CVG-DCA, BWI, etc and then continue with JFK out and backs for 4 days. As a reserve though I expect it to be a lot like this month, 76 hours of credit with 30 hours of block.

And all Delta had to do is ask Freedom to cancel flights and not charge it against them! Eff DELTA!
