You pay full price otherwise...so just go with a friend that made a smarter career choice and went to a different airline!

Indeed, the complaining will certainly come down quite a bit, if not stop all together if/when i get recalled.
I never thought I could miss something so much, but flying has become a part of who I am over the last 5 years. Now that it's taken away, and the means for me to get back into an airplane are out of reach..it's hard.
I never had to make the decision of what i wanted to do, I always knew and felt pity on those around me in college that were pulling their hair out trying to decide on a major...but now i'm starting to think that this short lived "career" could possibly be over. We all know this recession is going nowhere fast and I can't wait 4 years for a recall..as of now, it's looking like we're going to be furloughed at LEAST until next summer..with minimal recalls then, if any at all and hardly any growth ANYWHERE in the industry.
So all those that whine cause you might have to come back to JFK, instead of your pretty little existence in Cincy,..do all of us a favor and bypass.

I have used PERX several times since furough, never had a hotel or otherwise ask for an ID.. You do have to give them your reservations printout from PERX however. Just be careful and look up reviews of all of the places you like; alot of the ones on PERX are not that "desirable" but there are still lots that are great! Just do some research so you don't get Screwed and Pi$$ed off with a dump... not that I would know or anything...

That would be a great idea. Alot of comair Pilots and FA's already live there and as far as logistics goes its is actually a very strategic base. We hit LGA, JFK, and BOS from there like 5 times a day each. It would be a great base for that.
I been hearing LGA, I think they might want to do some type of NYC base like mainline. But then again they can go with some out station base who knows. Atleast we have something to look forward to. What about a DCA base we have some ops down there?
