From one of the union emails last week, so hopefully we should know something sometime in June.

according to the one of the recent conference calls, I believe June 15 is when A.) review the possibility of additional northeast base (BOS) B.) re-evaluate the need to adjust crew staffing, which would be another furlough=bad or a recall=good

Is it safe to assume that an additional base and recalls go hand-in-hand? In other words I don't see one happening without the other; it doesn't seem to make sense to open another base without recalling, as both would be a result of the increased hours remaining throught the fall. Perhaps I'm just reiterating the obvious...?

Quick question way off topic: I have Vista and Epic is very VERY slow on Vista (every other website is speedy). Does anyone have this problem? Any suggestions (no, I cannot get rid of Vista)?

An additional base and recalls probably don't go hand-in-hand.

An additional base and shifting the rest of Comair out of CVG? That goes hand-in-hand a little better.

You spelled "when" wrong.

I think I recall a discussion on the ALPA board about this issue being one of Vista's security settings. Are you trying with IE, or FireFox? I'd try the Fox. And if you want to blow your PC's mind, download Apple Safari and try that. It won't work on TravelNet, though.

FireFox on Vista 64 bit works fine, about 30 second load time initially to get the login screen, but after that it's quick.

Hey Skyslug, What you really need to do is: Follow these steps because is a setting issue that comes by default with the new Internet Explorer and Vista.

1. OPEN UP you Internet Explorer
2. Tools then Internet Option
3. Click on the Advanced TAB (Far Right)
4. Scroll down to the bottom
5. Check the box that says "Use SSL 2.0
6. Don't forget to hit Apply and OK

That should solve your issue with IE and Epic.

Enjoy
