Not surprisingly, the pnf will have to do a qrh procedure during the raven.
I did mine a month before furlough. It was CVG-BWI with heavy snow and compacted snow on rwy at both airports. Had a few QRH things along the way, then had a wing anti-ice warning on the arrival, did QRH, then headed in at a high rate o' speed (no wing anti-ice and icing 4000-2000 feet). On the approach, flaps failed at 8. Went missed, did QRH, diverted to IAD, which had no snow on rwy..which was good because of the extra landing speed.

It were a fun day!

Well I'll break the silence with a question that I've already asked but can't remember the answer....
Can us furloughed guys fly on CHQ? I've talked to a few people that have said they've flown on ASA but my only choices are going to be a CHQ flight to get home.

Thanks!

Anybody else heard that 20-30 pilots have quit since the displacement bid was announced?

so 31 plus 33 that took the buyout = 64 total. Hopefully the number grows to 298.

Q: What if I worked in New York State, but live in another state?

A: If you currently live outside of New York State, but all of your work in the last 18 months was in New York State, you may apply for unemployment benefits by calling the Telephone Claims Center. If, in the last 18 months, you worked in both New York State and the state in which you currently live, you must first contact the state in which you live to determine whether you can establish a claim with that state.
Thanks to all who answered. I have been in NY for over two years now, so I will call the NY umemployment.

Just imagine what that number would be if the early-out package was extended for pilots like it was extended for the RHS announcement...
