So why is nobody on here talking about the rumor that Comair was sold to "The Blackstone Group"?

Just wondered since most of the furloughs seem to know A LOT more then those still working. Anyway, it is all over the FA boards and starting to spread around the worker bees pretty fast.

Oh, and the ground school for the furloughs has been finishing up a day early, and in one case, 2 days early. :-)

Where are the FA boards?

haha some great conversations going on over there i'm sure!

Anyway. I hadn't heard about them being sold to The Blackstone Group... But I would have to think that might be a good thing? They have been pretty successful reorganizing some pretty major corporations.

Or maybe they would part it out.

We should send Trailblazer the link to the FA board. I bet he would have fun there.

I'm thinking he is an FA so I'm sure he knows about it.

I heard from the FA Board that Comair was just sold to a group called "the Illuminati". Seriously, man, FA rumors now?

Blackstone sounds like a line of BS to me. I'll believe a press release on that one.

In the meantime, here's a nice blog:

Interesting read, but a couple of important facts wrong in there.... I think there is too much emphasis on cost per block hour. Yes it is higher. Yes we need to figure a way to lower it, but I'm not so sure the doom and gloom is written on the wall just yet. I think how things go with this next contract will be the key to Comair's future. Stay tuned

I like how the article said comairs ground handling makes money. When was the last time Comair did handling? A year ago?
