I have known I don't have one forever... because if I knew I had one I would cease to know that I don't have one.

See... It's not rocket science. But I guess whining about it on an Internet message board is easier...
I never got an ALPA card or number. I never got anything in the mail, or my file. But they obviously had my email I'm guessing... or how else did mp get it?

Seems like a strange situation, but I get weekly updates on displacement and junior man assignments LOL... Interesting stuff.

Oh yeah, Comair gave me this....oh gawd....itch that I can get rid of.
I did it when I was in college, only required one other class. If I remember the requirements were 200hrs of classroom time or two years 121 experience and the written test then you could take the practical. See if you can find a dispatch examiner (Check with your FSDO) then ask them. If you were at Comair two years you should be eligible. Take the written (exactly the same as the ATP written), study up on 121 and Comair's ops specs (if you still have a copy) and that's what the practical will cover. Like an ATP without the flight. If I remember there was also a flight planning requirement. Again, talk to your local FSDO.

Edit: It's Part 65.50. Two years within the last three years before the practical is the requirement.

Hey guys, looks like asa might start hiring soon. Jump on this or be without a job. Time is running out. Try to go anywhere while you are still collecting a pay check.

Seriously man stop posting here.... No respect for you, one day you say we will never here from you again, then the next here you are. We are big enough to make our own decisions based on the facts and information we have in front of us.... Grow up and leave us alone!

I find it disturbing that you're getting your jollys to see a buttload of people lose their jobs if what you say is true. Classy! Just remember, aviation is a small world.

I'd much rather go back on unemployment than to ever go back to first year regional pay.

Wrong, I am helping you out by warning you of what is coming your way. If I was happy about you and others losing jobs I would not be posting about start looking for another job. Fact is Comair is not going to be around. I am the only one who cares enough to warn you.

There have been some western US cities showing up in the future schedules, and the company has asked ALPa to help plan climb performance (read: future mountainous flying)
