Chow,
You would want to make sure that your standing bid is in the order that you want it regardless of any type of COLAs or Furloughs. Just fill it out as if you weren't being furloughed. If you are in the line of fire for a fulough, then it won't matter how you bid since it is based on seniority. Now if you are not in the line of fire, but you are trying to bid the best quality of life, then I would recommend bidding CRJ50 FO/100%.
Unfortunately they probably won't furlough etc. and then have another bid.

Supposedly the ships had some kind of artificial gravity to simulate the feeling of pulling Gs. Some of the pilots turned the feature off so they could maneuver better, or in Porkins' case because he couldn't pull Gs like "the big boys".
As legend has it, when Porkins was hit by the TIE he lost partial pitch control, and since he had no artificial Gs he did not know his control inputs were degraded. He did not pull up hard enough to clear the surface, so in essence he basically CFIT'ed into the Death Star.
In addition to Incom and Darth Vader, I think Porkins' family named KFC a co-defendant in the lawsuit after the Battle of Yavin. I think Col Sanders faked his death about the same time frame (1978?).
