Canpa to JFK 13l does not work but they will not admit it. First thing is if the weather ever drops that low, JFK will not use that approach. So just don't worry about it. Canpa is a waste of time and paper.

I have been looking at the Pilot Staffing grid on Epic. There is a lot of red there. Why are they offering cola's? Why is there so much red when some of us have not flown in over a month? I guess we are not paid enough to think about this stuff though.

As Paok said, we are losing more 6-month and under FO's than anything. They are taking their CRJ SIC type and going elsewhere to collect a bonus check.
As far as the waste of time CANPA on 13L, they want you to use it from CRI to 800 feet, which is just a waste of time.
And Cessna126, apparently they don't get paid to think about that stuff either.

I had been told by a F/A who is big in the FA union... John purchased a multi-million condo in that ugly new building in downtown Cincy. He says he's moving up to CVG because he's in it for the long haul. He also told the F/A union he knows that "some people in management" are under watch... and we will all have raised morale when this one goes 'buh-bye'. He also disagrees with Comair's current philosophy of break the contract now, grieve it later.
He's been pretty quiet, but I think he's got something going. Hopefully good things. I read somewhere that he is having a free lunch with Captains only to talk with "The CEO's of the Aircraft" in December, but I haven't seen it since then. I get the feeling it's his idea of a gesture of goodwill toward the work force, and it's being kept on the down-low by everyone else who doesn't want to keep that same goodwill... cough Soapy cough.
Anyway remember, this is second hand information from someone who said she spoke with him personally, so take it for what it's worth.

I sure would like to see us get some more flying. Things seem pretty slow for the last few months.
