Comair updates?

that comment was for readytoquit not about ready reserves
I abbreviated readytoquit to ready
from: readytoquit:
Are there certain rules to release people or is it all up to the scheduler?
I just don't get why it was so hard to be released when I could only be used for 1 more hour and wasn't overnightable.

the company tell us to assign 8501-8515 look at the amount of times we take sick call inbound at the last min. I took 5 this week and we had to use the ready to cover it. I see the reasoning behind RR. Yea sometimes alot of readys dont get used but 60-70% do get used in a months time. So obviously there a need for some of them. My question you say its a 2 hour call out yea but 2hr call out the a hour report to departure, so it quickly turns into a 3 hr deal. The lack in communication is hugh in the SOCC I never knew a plane broke down in FSD till I couldnt find the crew to operate the next flight out here in CVG. So it doesent always come from us you only talk to us.

So, I just found out that scheduling called my parent's phone number again this morning, because apparently they couldn't get a hold of me this morning! Bull*******t! I got one call and answered it the first time. How the hell did scheduling get my parents phone number anyway? I never gave the company that number, unless scheduling is using my emergency contact number now.
Ftrpilot who do I talk to about getting that changed or to see which numbers the company, scheduling specifically, has on file.

no we wont call your emergency contact but it must appear on SBS just call an request to have one number listed a give it to them you can always ask for me if that does not work.
Also there has been a big issues since Dave Soaper wanted us to cross train and the flight attendant contract is totally different from the pilot and sometimes its hard to remember what desk your working at. I worked 15 days on the pilot desk untill 2 days ago I had to work the Flight attendant desk, complete culture shock. Unlike mainline carriers who have schedulers dedicated to one seat.
f/a they call primary first then page
pilots: page first wait then call

FTR,
Please give my thanks to Ashley for releasing me the other day. I had a soft day off but she still could have kept me to the end of my window and I would have missed my flight home.
And she didn't even make me beg.
