Then you have to wonder about all the DCI carriers???
Who knows. Nothing we can do but sit back and enjoy the ride.

I had the MV/LOE the last week of January. MV we were flying out of BWI. Capt flew first then me. Started with takeoff from RWY 23..i think and then back around for the VOR 23 full missed and fly the published hold (did I forget to mention this was all without FMS?) After flying the hold we got the FMS back. Then the hand flown ILS to landing, V1 cut back around for the single engine hand flown ILS, windshear recovery, vectors for a visual approach (which you are allowed to backup with the ILS), TCAS RA and ended in Aspen for a CFIT recovery.
For the LOE the flight was BOS-YUL, I was the flying pilot. We had HYD System 1 and HYD system 3 failure. It was a pretty lengthy QRH procedure so I was happy being the flying pilot..although the autopilot doesnt' work without sys 1 and sys 3 so plan on handflying and doing the radios while the Capt does the QRH. I think I had to use about 45 degree aileron deflection for the remainder of the flight just to maintain straight and level. Made for an interesting landing in YUL.
Honestly, I was worried about the MV/LOE, but I thought it went much better than I was expecting.

So get this....I get a call/voicemail from scheduling (I didnt answer it), telling me they are junior maning me to go to LAN tonight. We it wouldnt of worked out since I live in MI anyways. But the thing is, is that they assigned it to a ready reserve anyways....arent they supposed to do that before they junior man?

They tried to junior man me in Laguardia. We had maintenance problems. They said that I would get junior manned into my day off no matter what, till I told them there is a deadheading FO that is supposed to work a flight and he could work mine if I go. 20 minutes on the phone with scheduling they finally switch us and deadhead me.
It is also interesting that once junior manning starts open time reappears.
