For all those 70 drivers that want to go back to the 50, just call planning/performance and tell them. They can switch it before the training schedule comes out.

Question 1) Will there be seat locks since this is a displacement bid, not a vacancy bid?

I'm currently in the 70, top 50%.

My standing bid is:
CVG CR7... 50% conditional
CVG CRJ

With 47 displaced Capts coming to the 70 and 36 FOs coming off the bottom of the list, my relative seniority will become 40% from the bottom.

Question 2) Shouldn't my standing bid bump me to the 50?

My standing bid was CVG CRJ at 100%. Apparently conditional bids dont matter in a displacement bid unless you are dislpaced off the botttom of the list. Since it is a displacement bid, there are no seat locks and you have recall rights back to your seat for 1 year.

I was wondering the same thing...I am going to be close to reserve all of sudden after being in the top 50%, but don't want a seat lock.

Exactly... going back to reserve on the 70 will be a bigger pay cut then going back to the 50.

When do the "No More Spagettios" stickers come out?

I tell ya what, I will call and have them put me in the 70. It might be just enough to bump you back to the 50. By the time I am done with the training, they will probably send me back to the 50 anyways. Then I wont have such a crapy line.

So has anyone heard about this rumor that Comair posted an ad for hiring from now to the end of the year...I saw that thread entitled "Comair to hire" but that looks like an old one...but i've heard it from several sources...HMM

Probably one of those random pilot hiring websites that hasn't been updated. Although who the hell knows the way this place changes it's mind every 5 minutes.
