I feel for you folks at Comair. I chose to leave last month for many reasons that had little to do with the current go/no go indecision on the displacement. I can imagine the uncertainty of what is going to happen next for you all has to be hell. I hope it works out for the best soon so you can all get some peace of mind.

I'm currently in the 70, top 50%.

My standing bid is:
CVG CR7... 50% conditional
CVG CRJ

With 47 displaced Capts coming to the 70 and 36 FOs coming off the bottom of the list, my relative seniority will become 40% from the bottom.

Question 2) Shouldn't my standing bid bump me to the 50?
I only count 44 Captains being downgraded to the right seat of the 70, but bet that number changes.

So will the number of FO's remain around 160 do ya think?

So scheduling just called looking for an experienced 70 FO to do a Key West turn today. Is Comair helping with evacuations? Anyhow, I am unavailable today, but if you consider yourself experienced and you are looking for Add fly you may want to call.

Yeah they did that when Fay ran through earlier in the season. Just trying to get our folks out of there.

I'm confused. Shouldn't all of our First Officers be "experienced"?

One would think! I'm guessing the newest 70/90 FO could pull the gear up and talk on the radio as well as the most experienced FO---Key West or not........

I don't get it. They have plenty of 70 FOs sitting around not doing anything. I guess because we are on reserve we are not experienced enough? That's discrimination! Lawsuit! I guess they would rather call a lineholder on a day off and pay him time and a haf.

Exactly what I was thinking. There is a difference between qualified and experienced. However, since when did airlines start choosing who flies what routes based on experience? Maybe they have always done that and it's just new to me. I think they are just trying to give recognition to me in hopes that I would feel good about what I do and help them out, without junior manning me and paying time and a half for it. Hmm. When was the last time the company helped me out? Oh yeah, I can't remember. I would have picked this up but I have other obligations today, and only because there are probably other employees trying to get out of harms way.

Perhaps I missed somebody else saying it, but I see Pinnacle is getting 3 900s and Freedom losing 3 900s.
