My analysis? Come to AE if youre a gambling man (or lady) but if you cant afford to sit as an FO at $40k for 6+yrs then think very carefully about your career path. I do think something will be worked out in terms of a flowthrough agreement to AA, but even if that goes through it will take a long time to get there from AE. I forsee the AE fleet shrinking a lot in the next 5 years. Saabs, ERJ135/140s will be gone. ATRs will probably be replaced with new ATRs, but not much growth. 50 seaters will stay for now, 70 seaters will stay. We might get to exercise the options for 25 more CRJs, but thats way in the future. I think mgmt will make AA pilots give up scope to 100 seaters in turn for a big pay raise. If this happens, watch for 100 seaters at AE to replace the retiring MD80s at AA. Sad it would be, but its not my decision.

Short answer: Yup! I dont think there will be any furloughs, outsourcing, etc barring any real awful circumstances like terrorism.

Those airplanes are so beat up and twisted they cant even fly straight. I honestly would rather be flying in a few 1984 cessnas that have lived as trainers for their entire existence than some of those old beat up atr's. Plus the price of the heavy D checks is some where near a million bucks cheaper than buying a new one once the cost of ferrying an airplane from san juan to montreal is taken into account.

they just called me on my application from march that has 585 and 60 multi....... I filled an FO position back in may though...hilarious bc when i saw 817 area code i thought it was a friend from college and I answered the phone weird in a funny voice and it was EAGLE....haha

I just got that email too a few days ago from laura.
The 500/100... does that only apply RIGHT out of graduation or can we go get our 500/100 then apply?
Also, I wonder if they just lowered the mains from 800/100 to 600/100 will they lower the ones for us at all...

I wouldn't expect mins for Eagle to go any lower...especially the already-reduced 500/100 for certain programs.
