To my understanding, ATR hiring is taking place every other class. The last class to start, everyone was put on the CRJ. So i'd assume the next class will have ATR positions.

THe last class to have ATR positions took 4 new hires. Therefore, if there is a trend the next class would put 4 on the ATR.

Yes, according to various people in the ATR department 4 new hires out of every other class until the end of the year will be going to the ATR. That is of course not set in stone, but it seems fairly likely to actually happen.

I agree this is my findings too. Maybe I hit the "koolaid" too much but I don't think its fair for the 700 pilots to be asking for more.. they are the highest paid in the industry already??

Just an observation.

The Ta will pass i think. The majority of the population (200 drivers), are elated about it. And when it does pass it truly will be a top regional to work for. I went to WMU and i dont know why it wasnt talked about much. But i know a couple guys who graduated from there with me last year and now are FO's at ASA.

if its a top regional to work for then why isnt there a line out the door to get a job and why are minimums much lower than, say, skywest or republic??

In retrospect, NO ONE has a line out the door. I dont know why their mins are much lower, but that does not make them a bad regional. You can think what you want, I will be enjoying the soon to be passed TA.

ASA won't fire you for calling in fatigued, or for writing profanity on the wall of the crewroom

Who cares if they have been losing airplanes, losing flying, have terrible morale, even worse on-time performance and a 4-year upgrade.... YOU'LL HAVE THE PRICELESS OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE PROFANITY ALL OVER THE CREWROOM, WITHOUT LOSING YOUR JOB!
How about that for job satisfaction!

THIS is what you should consider when choosing your prospective employer... because after all, what is this career worth if you can't even write profane graffiti on walls anymore?!?!?

DISCLAIMER: If you DO end up getting caught writing profanity addressed to your chief pilot, and get called in by the aforementioned individual, simply print out a copy ehaekercfi's post and you'll be just fine!

Dude...are you serious? None of us get paid what we are worth.....We can spend almost 100K on our educations to make 19-24 dollars an hour....such low wages that we can qualify for food stamps.....and yet because ASA's CRJ 700 pilots want more money....u think its unfair???

Pilot groups as a whole need to bring back pay to what we deserve....you cant just settle....All you new hires at ASA are tickled pink cuz you get a 4 dollar raise...and yeah thats great....but the reason why ASA pilots want to vote it down is because your management isnt giving them the right amount of retro pay that all of these pilots who have been working there for 5 years without a contract deserve.

If you think its unfair to want more money to fly a bigger jet, then go over to GoJets....im sure they'd love to hire you
