Compass info

So quit if you don't like it. Or better yet, go get a second job as a Walmart Greeter. From my understanding, you certainly have the time.
No offense, but there was plenty of info posted on the boards and elsewhere about the company. Word I hear is that a grievence has been filed on the pilots behalf and back pay is probably coming. Either way, you should have known that you probably weren't going to make any better than min guarantee for quite some time since there seems to be a surplus of pilots and a shortage of aircraft.
The fact is, if you took the job and expected captains pay from day one without any written agreement to that fact, you set yourself up. I don't care what RC, JK, or any other manager might have said. If it ain't in writing, you're not going to get it if you're a represented union member.
The flip side is that I talk to plenty of people over there (almost daily) that have more positive outlooks that some of those posted here. Most of the people that I talk to at Compass (line pilots or otherwise) understand that it's a start up and as such, there are delays and a learning curve. Things aren't as smooth as they'd like, but they aren't bottom of the barrel either.
EVERY regional that's hiring is experiencing a shortage. 90% of them are offering bonuses to either new hires or referring employees. It doesn't surprise me that they are offering "recruiting bonuses" to employees. The management at ACA did the same thing with good results. Why hire somebody off the street that you don't know when you can spend a couple extra bucks and get somebody that understands the company culture, the job, and the people because of an internal relationship? In the end, recruiting bonuses cost less money since people are more likely to stay longer, thus reducing overall training costs for new hire turnover.

Everyone regrdless of proffession deserves to be told the truth and have all the details of the job they are accepting. Many ppl wouldn't have taken the job if it hadn't been for them being told in the interview they would receive CA pay. When you have family's to take care of choices have to include their care as well. do to this pay issue I don't know one pilot working for CP that didn't take a paycut coming here. True I came from a T-prop working for Mesa but I still took a paycut from $32 an hour to $23 an hour.
Don't forget too that I am one of the ppl not even receiving pay for my left seat time. This seams to be more of a remote incident. Most have been receiving the pay for the left seat time. I although have over 50 hours of left seat time and have received 0 hours of pay for it. This time is spread over the last 3 months and I have been paitently waiting I think.
I am not all negative, look back at my posts from about 3 months ago. although I was being paid incorrectly I believed them when they said they would make it right. However, I am like most other ppl...you can only lie to me sooo long before I no longer trust you. This problem is going to start to impact customer service if something isn't done....I hope they fix it before that happens. They had the chance to make something new here and do the right thing....they just really don't want to I guess.
Once again though Josh I never meant any disrespect for you or anyone else and I am sorry for being so negative. I'm sure better days are coming...I can't wait to see them.

Guys, was told a summer upgrade 140ish seniority number. Do you guys think this is still hold up? By my numbers, assuming staff at 5 crews per plane. Ac 28 would be my upgrade time. Ac 28 would be about when? I am taking a huge pay cut to come to compass, assuming no more delays what are your best guess on an upgrade for me? I don't think i can leave on fo pay much pass summer time.

It's cool, I understand that things can be frustrating sometimes to the point of tears (there's a reason that I haven't followed friends and coworkers back to the airlines or Compass). I can certainly understand if the company isn't holding up to their end for whatever reason.
Hopefully things will work out in the natural course of things in soon. From what I hear Republic/Chautaqua/<Insert other sister company of the month here> is about to hold a big bid for upgrades, which will probably only put more crunch in the hiring market.
Hopefully the so called shortage of pilots we hear so much about will force companies to start increasing wages and living up to their promises. (Right... time for me to go back to my pipe dream now...)
As far as Compass, I do know that it's not perfect, but I don't think it's the worst place in the world to be either. If I could only get them to start ROA-MSP service in the E175, it would be a lot closer to perfect though! (not to mention I'd buy beer for a bunch of the crews passing through!)

A good friend of mine at Shuttle said they just posted some crazy amount of CA slots over there. I think I heard like 150....or something like that. Seems like a large vacancy to me. I'm sure you will see it but I just received some of that back pay they owed me. That definately helps things on the homefront. It's hard to explain to the wife why she has to cook so much Ramen
