Well they start at the top of seniority in the class and ask him first if he wants to go to the ATR, and if he says no they just work their way down the seniority list of the class, so almost always it goes to the 4 youngest.

Because UPS doesn't pay monopoly money like a regional. At a regional, people want and need all they can get. If flying the 700 vs the 200 will pay slightly more, that's great.

Probably because they don't want to fly an old ratted out turboprop. Kids now days want to fly JETS. Jets are cool.

Well I feel that I spent the money to do the CRJ Jet training course in preparation of flying a CRJ. I feel I would be a better fit in the CRJ already having CRJ experience and a basic knowledge of the systems.
But that being said, if I do get put in the ATR I am not going to complain about it, its turbine time regardless, and I have a regional airline job. So what is there really to complain about? Plus I hear all the ATR guys are the funnest to be around at ASA.

Thats true for sure. One thing you will learn here (whatever you get assigned) is that previous transition courses and all that BS really doesn't matter. The training department is amazing at ASA.
