Yeah when I was in FlightSafety for the sim ride, there was a guy in the current training class who was from my school, and he said they are taking 4 people from every other class for the ATR, so that puts my class as the one that will take 4 for the ATR, but I guess I won't know for sure until I get there. Do they do the assigning for what aircraft on the first day of training?

No, its a few days into the class. I want to say the 2nd day you bid and the 3rd you get your award. But you'll all have it figured out the first day by the vending machines. ;)

What hotel were you put up in during training?

flybywire44 11-07-2007 07:30 AM

Redroof, they moved us out. Something about rats, crime and Marijuana smoke moving through the vent system.

haha nice, I'd stayed at the RedRoof when I came down for the interview, I wasn't too impressed but at least it is very close to FlightSafety and the GO building. I think it would be cool to be put up in the Renaissance hotel with a balcony room facing the field, but then that might be too distracting for me to study my systems, etc. LOL

I was at the Holiday Inn Select. About a 5 min. drive, but it was nice. They should call you before class starts and tell you what hotel you are in.

Alright, I'll just make sure to call if I don't hear anything within a week of my class date.

Thanks for all your help guys!!! :-D

What is the upgrade time in the ATR vs the 200?

citationdrvrmob 11-07-2007 08:40 AM

Also, since the ATR is much slower than the CRJ, wouldn't an ATR pilot be able to have more block time, and therefore make more money than a CRJ pilot, or are the routes structured to where it doesn't make a difference?

ATR upgrade will fall below 2 years in a 2-3 months... CRJ upgrade will take a a bit longer to hit 2 years.

Citationdrvrmob is on to something here...
