I have a January class date training in the 145. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on surviving training. I'm not nervous or anything, it is only my career. Any input on regional training and specifically this aircraft would be greatly apreciated.

Hey, I think you can buy a study manual online. I have seen CRJ study guides advertised. I also some how recall seeing a study guide that you could buy directly from Embraer. Check out their web site www.embraer.com

Hifly,
Relax. that's the first thing you need to do. I went through initial on the 145 and my nerves got the best of me for the same reason, "its just my career" I ended up spending a night in the hospital - I got the flu, got dehydrated and got real sick - and i really believe my worry caused me to get run down.
There is a company online, feel there.com. It a sight that has an ERJ 145 for sale. For 36.00 you can dowload it into your flight sim. when you get into the sim I believe you'll find it helpful, especially if you've never been in a glass, or jet enviornment before.
again, relax and enjoy the experience. and remember, no matter what happens, your loved ones will still love you! good luck!

I downloaded a free F-16 from simviation.com and enjoy flying that from KLFT to the Houston area and around souther USA...I'm getting real good at landing the thing...Don't understand instrument rules so i can't fly it in bad weather - i can never find the runway...

Dont spend any cash$ buying books to study. Wait till you start training. They will provide manuals, etc. Most important they will TEACH you what you need to know for the test, oral, etc. Dont get ahead.

Just to add to this (which RJ is dead on...) Not only will they teach you what you need to know, they will teach you the material 'their way' and the way to get through is a little thing that I teach: "Cooperate to graduate." Good luck with your career - and by the way, which regional did you get on with?
