Once again you missed the point. Just as she had referred to "you" as a meaning of "all pilots" I referred to the plane as "mine" to associate it with "She doesn't call the shots on it's inner working the crew does." I never sank to her level I let her know that we the "flight crew" are not to be talked to like children or dogs and that she isn't our "the flight crew's" boss. Her responsibilities and duties for her job do not extend to any level in which she was trying to operate. Telling her how it is in a stern but controlled voice is exactly what the situation called for and the ability to do so is almost a requirement for the profession. Every time I've seen that woman she's a pain to deal with and frankly I was tired of putting up with her crap. She got exactly what she needed and she has no say so in my employment. Two pax walking by, a 40+ and 50+yr old guys, both saw it and when she stormed off called her psycho. Most of them are great though. First one I've ever had an issue with. I'm sure I'll see her again tomorrow. I guess you'd rather get walked over. The message that sends them is far worse with much greater repercussions. You weren't there though so I don't expect you to understand like the other crews and pax that saw did.

True just about anywhere. CMH and IAH have GREAT CAL agents. Some of them are/were pilots and bend over backwards to help you out. The CAL agents at STL though could care less. You're better off taking matters into your own hands and contacting the crew through dispatch or any other means.

True, but keep in mind that they used to be with CAL, and now has been dumped, doing the same job for less $$$ and no benefits... They are good people if you talk to them and get a little insight with them...

working on an inbound flight that has been behind all day, i land and have fiveminutes to pack up my things and meet the new crew for the outbound flight in a new ac. I do my preflight, paperwork and get settled in, flight pushes back seven minutes late. gate agent slaps me with the delay. it doesn't even sound legal...i guess "teamwork" was lost in translation
