If anyone could answer these questions about Mesaba (info I have not been able to find in other threads) I would greatly appreciate it.
All these pertain to the Saab.
What are the pay rigs if any?
What is a typical reserve schedule like (how are the 11 days off arranged? 4 on 3 off?, 5 on 3 off?)
What is an average duty day?
How often do you break min guarantee on reserve?
Is there a commuter policy? (I commute now so no lectures on commuting please)
Can you pick up trips while on reserve?
What types of hotels do you typically stay in?
Thanks in advance for honest answers.

-No trip or duty rigs, min day is 4 hrs
-5 on 3 off
-Average duty day approx 12-12hrs
-I didn't break gurantee on reserve, not even close but I was only on reserve for a month
-Call in honest policy, list your self on two flights that get you in before show time, they will positive space you. There pretty good about this.
-You will have min days off on reserve, you can techniqually pick up one trip to bring you down to 10 days
-Hotels are hit and miss, mostly miss

i am junior to you but i know what you mean. It seems like there is nothing to look foward to here at Horizon anymore. Mesaba would be a good move especially if you are from the midwest. You have enought time to be a street captain on the Saab so yo wont be loosing much on pay. You will be back at the bottom but at least you are getting some PIC time. You will move on quicker if you do the move to Mesaba. Just weigh the options of being on the bottom of the triangle is SEA doing airport jail for like a year or being at the bottom in DTW for like 2 weeks

I had good luck actually trading some of my reserve days for open time trips while I was on reserve. Depends on who you talk to in scheduling, some will say you can't do it... while others will do it for you no problem. This was when I was commuting to DTW and picking up MSP trips.

Most hotels as stated before arent the greatest, the typical holiday inns, and such.
