Piston Type Ratings...do they help???

Was with private aircraft, not the CAF. I've been flying (right seat) on the 25' most of the summer at airshows and giving rides, and typed two weeks ago. Been with a museum in Texas for nearly 10 years working on and flying the 17', checkride Friday or Saturday. Anybody can do it, they're just airplanes... you just have to do what it takes and want it REAL bad. It's been a real privilege to be associated with the bombers so closely, but now it's time to get a "real" job.

Let's just say I've put off the airlines to follow a dream....... and now I'm ready to take things to the next level. I have 700TT 350 multi, BS Aviation, and hope to be competitive with the higher time required regionals like Republic, Skywest, etc....... I hope it might help get me in the door with a little less TT than published mins.

PS you fly the B-17 out of Galveston? I was wade-fishing all alone in the middle of nowhere on a nice sunny day where I heard something coming against the wind. I turned around to have that thing buzzing the water and they made two or three passes at me. Beautiful plane. Do you know Robbie in Louise that builds the Steermans? He flies out of there too.

I fly out of Ft. Worth, but know a few guys down at Lone Star. They're a great bunch down there. Wish I could fly some of that iron!
RAH is high on my list, and I'll definitely be applying there. Thanks for the heads up. Just got offered right seat ferrying a Martin 404 out of SoCal next week, so resumes will have to wait another week or so. If this kind of stuff keeps popping up I may never make it to the airlines!
