US Airways would love to be rid of Mesa and I would love to drink an nice 18 year scotch instead of mad dog 20/20, but in the end you can only sustain your vices with what you can afford. US Airways loves regional partners and small passenger disappointing jets, but they can only afford to give more flying to RAH and Air Whiskey on special occasions. They brew their own hooch in the forms of PSA and Piedmont, but even then Airways still needs to nurse their RJ buzz on a shoestring budget, and right now on one is selling cheaper than Mesa.

I feel bad for you Mesa pilots... when you finally hammer out your new contract and get better wages, you are going to find out how Johnny O has completely ruined Mesa's image (depsite your hard work) when your major partners refuse to pay a dime more for your product. There are not going to be many takers for a more expensive Mesa.
