Hiring trend in 2008

I doubt that it'll have an appreciable affect on the regionals with a very junior payscale. but for places like my airline, piedmont, with a very senior pilot group i think that it will have a very detrimental affect on the already very long upgrade to captain.
But, you've always got to consider the guys at the top whom it has the greatest affect on, if they want to keep working its great for them, if not, well then they'll just go away.

Get a few more posts and search for "age 65," there are a lot of threads out there with the info you're looking for.
I personally think APC should change their policy one being able to use the search function. Once you sign up you should be free to search. Not being able to search right away leads to redundant threads such as this one.
Best of luck and remember that 99% of what’s on here are opinions and nothings final until it’s in the history books!

Only time will tell. Slow it down some....probably... stop for 5 years as some have suggested, not likely. Not everyone will stay past 60 and even those that do some wont go all the way to 65..... I think after 6-9 months we may have a better idea of the situation.

Btw, does anyone out there have the current upgrade times for each regional. Placing the info all in one post would be great. Thanks in advance.
