Good luck getting CAL to release their 50 seat jet scope. CAL already has their 100 seat jet. It's called a 737-500 and they have over 60.

but this would also mean dropping a couple of codeshares that BB wants us to work for; Continental & AA
his reasoning for taking the CAL contract was to get a foot in the door so he can get 70+ seaters flying for them. and AA is one of our better paying gigs.
plus we'd then have to retrain at least 800 pilots all at once.
BB is too smart a businessman to incur such a cost for no real benefit

I'm just gonna throw this one out, if CHQ is spunoff, does anyone think a Comair/CHQ merger may happen being that CVG is big for both them?
Yeah different equipment and a regional merger is out of the ordinary, just curious.

Not a chance.......Republic buying Comair is as close as you will come to Comair and CHQ "merging."
The whole reason Republic would even consider spinning off CHQ is because CHQ flies solely 50-seat aircraft, a dying entity (many are saying) with oil as high as it is now. CVG really has nothing to do with it. The only reason either have a big presence in CVG is because that's how Daddy "D" wants it.
