And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't XJT's Delta contract only two years long? And hasn't about one year of it already passed? And if so, are there talks to renew it? I'm just asking.
XJT's CPA with Delta has about 17 more months although Delta has continued to add additional aircraft to XJT's roster. Three more started in Salt Lake City in January.

That is a FANTASTIC point. Jerry wants to start working toward self supporting and this would be a move in the right direction.

SKW Inc is currently the largest regional operator in America with 4560+ pilots and over 432 a/c and if SKW Airline was to merge with XJT (seeing ASA & SKW are not one) then, YES they would be the largest single regional.

this will be very interesting to watch. I think Skywest see's a potential opportunity with XJT stock being so cheap. However, i do believe CAL still has the ability to stop a merger/buyout of XJT?

One more very interesting point is the fact that SKYW has Embraer 170/75 pay rates in their new scales. ExpressJet is the largest Embraer jet operator in the country and with Republic in the lead in the E-Jet market, this could provide SKYW with an opportunity to go head to head.

Proposed new pay scale.

I only think CAL could stop something if XJT retains enough of their own shares. They aren't owned by CAL they are owned by the pubic. SKW could start purchasing XJT stock and make a hostile takeover. XJT's stock is cheap, if the company gets in more financial trouble they'll be forced to release more stock to the public which at the current price wouldn't make the company very happy. If XJT put enough shares out there, and skw picked them up, CAL would have no say so at that point. This is all just IFs. I don't know their contractual setup. It's happened before. The last major one I saw what when Manchester United was part of a hostile takeover.

Thats actually not at all how companies deal with financial trouble. When you issue more stock all you do is dilute it, driving the price even lower. A more common practice is to issue bonds.
