Aw, Nice! I think you're interviewing with a friend of mine, David Goodwin. He's going for the Saab in DFW. Glad everything went well for ya so far!!

Yup I know him.

So, how many of you started and how many made it through the sim portion?

So why do you want to know reserve in LAX? It's not an option. I heard before they closed it that the saab was 6 months and jet was, well, a long time.

I think there were 12 of us to start, and 11 of us made it through. The group was diverse. It ranged from a senior in his last semester of college all the way through a 50yr old with an ATP.

There were also about 8 guys who did open interviews in San Juan who made it through the sim too. I didn't even get done with my pee test and they were handing out the conditional offers.

How long is the reserve time in LAX?

And which airplanes do they fly out of LAX?

LAX is very senior. Aircraft are the SF3 and the ERJ. It is not open to new hires. Time on reserve is no less than a year I would imagine.
