What he was saying was that the stockholders are ignorant enough to allow JO to continue to lose their money...they are taking his lies hook, line, and sinker. You can bet that if I had any interest in a company, and found it was operating like MAG, I would certainly make waves.

IMO the pilot group has absolutely no leverage. The company has already won. MAG ALPA is dysfunctional...no officers are released from line flying & communications are pathetic. The pilot group is not unified at all. Although there is no love for the company and management, no one is doing anything about it. Expect to see a concessionary contract, or a weak fight strung out over 3+ years. The best thing the Mesa pilot group can hope for is a major management shakeup (lose JO and everyone on the 7th floor); or a buyout from another regional carrier.
Nonetheless, I wish my friends there good-luck......they'll need it.

Heck guys and gals, just slow the freakin' operation down so badly that Ornstein has no choice but to do something. Sometimes it seems like we've lost the playbook that, sadly, is sometimes needed. It's all business to them; make it more expensive to keep doing what they're doing than to change...
When employees cost the company money, the price of goods go up, thus inflation rises. Maybe if you put as much effort into saving the company money rather than costing them, you might see a return in the future.

That is the same kind of work ethic that is driving this country into the dirt.

MAG pilots have NO recourse to the pistol whipping they receive every day from management and MAG ALPA. What IS your suggestion other than what was presented and what you feel is wrong as to what the pilots can do to improve their situation? I know what I did to improve mine........I left. I only wish all of the pilots there could do the same. They are a great group of people for the most part.

a) Never worked at mesa, or
b) You worked there, but with Freedom A.
In either case your opinion on this subject is invalid.

Man you have no clue. If the pilot group started making more money for Orenstein he'd just take the bonuses and the praise and laugh all the way to the bank. He doesn't give a **** about his pilots.
Remember that JO said "as long as there are resumes on my desk, pilots are overpaid."

I highly doubt you have any idea of what you have said...

It's a disgrace. JO does not care whether we are ontime or not, his attitude towards us will not change. If running an airline that was inefficient/problem laden/at risk of losing business was a problem for him, he would have already made a change.
The best thing to do in this situation is to quit working for him. I'm doing exactly that, effective in a couple of weeks.
