A company has knowingly hired pilots from another company. Many of these pilots only intention for working at a particular company was so they could get on at another, slightly, if at all, more reputable company, both doing flying that should be done for much much much higher wages. Use and abuse! Sooner or later, another company will undercut both of these, and it will be, hilarious. Choose wisely, pick your poison.
Esay there, that's me you're talking about. Outside the airline industry, it was not always obvious that mesa had all those issues. Those of us who went in uninformed paid a price for that...but most folks with any self-respect departed within a year or two, which does tend to lower the common denominator of those remaining. I was geography limited to the west, interviewed at eagle and mesa and hadn't heard back from SKW yet. Based on what I knew at the time, mesa was a better choice than eagle (at the time, but not today).

I have to admit with all the bad press these days, I have reservations about anyone who would go work there today. It would be hard not to know what you're getting into.

So if that's true and I did my math right, they'll all be gone by 2011. Well, by 2012. Some of them might leave during 2011.
SkyWest will still have Brasilias around in some capacity until St. George (SGU) has a runway capable of handling the CRJ. They NEED the air line between SGU and SLC. From what I've been told, SGU can't take the 200 or 900, and the 700 would be too weight restricted to make it worthwhile.

Isn't the new runway already under construction?

I heard from a DEN MX guy that SkyWest was considering moving the HQ to COS when the MX hangar was finished. I guess it has non-stop access to all the hubs.

Just reporting what he said. Seems unlikely to me considering the roots of SKW in Utah, but what do I know. Maybe we've transcended the Utah thing.

The hanger was finished in May or June.

There was no increase in COS flying after the hanger was completed either

To those still being "informed" on APC, the above poster is living in another reality. Use his post accordingly.

SGU isn’t the only airport we fly the EMB’s into that require that kind of performance and efficiency. Add our at-risk flying to the equation, flying that isn’t possible with an RJ seeing their lack of efficiency and you can see that the Bro isn’t go anywhere until we either stop operating to these airports or we have a replacement. You just can’t fly an RJ because you want to fly an RJ. T-Props are always going to be a part of SKW west coast operations, present and future.
