Actually, I've heard DL has picked up some people from OH that haven't been around during the strike.

ASA is likely your best bet. HOWEVER, most new hires are going to the CRJ700 where the reserve will run you at least 1 year. The CRJ200 will give you better QOL if you are senior enough in you class to get it. If so, expect to be on reserve for 2-3 months. After that, you will rack up about 80 hours of block time per month. You will probably have an easier commute from MIA to ATL. Good luck!
Don't forget they cancelled the last prelimnary awards and we don't know when they will be upgrading again. isn't industry wide stagnation awesome! |
That is correct , I am in my 9th month here at ASA , on the 200 , and I am still about 40 numbers from holding a line, onn reserve , i only flew 42 hours last month, and that is on short call....all aircraft esp. with the ATRs leaving, will be about a year on reserve as it stands now, however it could change fast and be shorter, when i first started it was 1-2 mo. rsv on the 200 , and now its like a 10-12mo rsv. I I have had a good experience here at ASA thus far, and i commute (from BOS) , I have friends at Comair who ve been there 3+ years and now upgrade in sight, they are looking to go elsewhere currently, but do whatever makes you have the best QOL. I do know that they South Florida commute to ATL can be VERY tough. good luck in your decision!
