Hi all,
I just accepted an April 21st class date for the E-170 on the Republic certificate at RAH. I was told I'll find out my base at ground school, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has any insight into where I can expect to be based. I'm hoping for PHL, but I haven't been able to find any info re: which Republic bases are more junior and what my chances might be of getting PHL.
Appreciate any info...
Thanks

The list goes in order of chances:
PIT: Most senior for CA (#1 on the list is an 85 hire) and senior for FO. The last class that came through got pit out of shear need. When the CA awards came out, since PIT was so senior for FO, guess where they got all the upgrades from? PIT is full of us "lifers", everyone knows or has flown with each other other in some capacity somewhere (flight instruction, corporate...whatever....) Other than that its really hard to get into.
DEN: Next senior in line. This base fluctuates since its Frontier and they don't know if they are coming or going lol. Just as hard to get into. Add to the fact that it is the only real west coast base we have, there is some good competition for it.
IND: Pretty senior but not that big so its hard to get.
CMH: Just opened, kinda like a holding facility for people who want PIT, either CA or FO. Not too senior and they are still adding, so the jury is kinda out on them.
DCA: Lots of lines, easy to get, and the best thing is it isn't Philly. Bad news is that as the J4J guys move out, they wont replace them. It wont grow, per say, but it wont really shrink either. A good bet if you are junior.
PHL: Ahhh what can be said about Philly except its Philly. Junior base, if you want it out of class you probably got it. Tons of lines, I don't even think people have been sitting RSV there.
As anyone can tell you, any base is up for grabs, you may just have to wait alittle for it. How long? Who knows. Itll happen, just give it time....

PHL is a good bet as stated above. I started in July and am around #20/60 in base. PIT FOs are similar after the recent upgrade exodus. DCA is a little more senior, but as stated above with lose a significant portion of flying when the J4Js leave. It is assumed they will shrink the FOs by attrition to upgrade. CMH is supposed to be one of the larger bases. Expect to see classes mostly go to CMH with PHL a close second(although we are approaching the 80 crew goal that has been discussed). Good luck!

How long was it from when you interviewed til you got the call? I went last week and haven't heard anything yet. Still holding onto some hope...
I heard they scrubbed the 4/1 CHQ class so maybe they're scrambling a bit and maybe that's why they haven't got to me yet. I hope haha.
