ASA Updates???
Anybody heard any good rumors? Or any updates on future aircraft, hiring, upgrades, etc.?
-I for one heard ASA is getting Frontier flying out of Denver.
-Cinncinnati is going to be opened as a base soon.
-Virtual basing is going to be implemented soon.
-900's are coming fom someone who just cancelled an order.
-4 more 200's are on the way.

I ve heard that:
- Cinci will be a base by the summer
-We are getting 4 CRJ 200s and will be used taking over some of the Freedom flying in Florida
Havent heard:
-Frontier flying
-Or CRJ 900 aircaraft getting delivered anytime soon
Who knows though it s all a guess, but all in all ASA aint a bad place to be....

You'll probably get a CVG base about the same time we get a BOS base here at Comair. Honestly, your base would be pretty small if you opened up a CVG base, wouldn't it? You don't do a whole heck of a lot of flying out of here in the grand scheme of things.

Probably about the same time we get the E170s we were promised to get from the pay freeze 3 years ago (pre-bankruptcy and pre-concessionary contract). Of course, we never got anything in writing.
Dangle a nice shiny airplane with a few model flight attendants in front of pilots and they'll do anything. That is management's best and most lethal weapon.
So to answer your question, not anytime soon.

You are correct if there was a base in CVG , it d be pretty small, like I said its just what has been heard around town that s all, we are doing CVG-BOS flights this month here at ASA, before it was just DCA-BOS.....
