Wow, a lot of Negative Nancys on here.
If flying is what you really want to do, then do it, don't listen to these bitter jerks. The guys who actually enjoy their lives "flying the line" are too busy being happy to come on here and listen to the constant b&m-fest. Plus, a lot of these guys would find a way to complain about winning the lottery so take everything you read with a big heaping pile of salt.

Many posters to this thread need to cool the proverbial jets with the comments. Get the thread back on topic and end the name calling and bickering (or take it to the PMs). A thread titled 'Who Likes Their Job?' has just turned into the regular arguments over and over again with the same flamebait and insults being hurled around. With all due respect the thread starter was asking to join this profession with a wife and kids and from what he was saying they don't make much. All some of us whiners have done is try to make them think about the not so glamorous side of aviation if there is glamor to begin with. 17 pages is not going to change his mind but at least he's going to think about it.

I love my job, I have a ton of free time to play World of Warcraft, and Call of Duty 4.
+Gas is so cheap now, I can go cruising down to the local mall, and hang out since it is so close to the airport. Wish we had ready reserve with a longer report time!

I kinda doubt it. You know what it means when you look at the OP's screen name and it's not blue? It means they didn't post for over a year and the database dropped him. He's long, long, gone....

Yeah most of the local high schools get out at around 2:30, pretty early from when I went to school. I just go sit myself at Asia Chao, and watch the high school girls, they seem to be the same age as I remember, despite myself getting older, fatter, and balder.
