I don't really see how it would affect the SKW pilot package much either way. I strongly suspect that, due to CAL scope, XJET would continue to do the CAL flying exclusively.

Well, I can kinda of see what you are saying. And I don't claim to know ALL the details, just the one I'm about to lay out.

Wasn't it a weird coincidence that when ASA FINALLY got their new CBA after YEARS of negotiating, the SkyWest pilots got an hourly raise shortly after?

Granted, that raise was not much to speak of, and it was LONG overdue. But a raise is a raise.

Well, another coincidence is that the sun came up on the morning of our payraise at SkyWest. More coincidences? I heard a bird chirp. Also, I saw a 1969 Corvette. Not sure which was responsible, but maybe all three !!!!

Oh, the one that is probably MOST coincidental ? We voted down ALPA. Call it a payola thank you.

if it's true that CAL is going to pull 51 more of XJTs birds at first chance...why doesn't skywest just make a deal for that flying and leave XJT alone?

what concerns me is how CAL thinks by SKW buying us, it will "reduce" our costs, I just hope its not by forcing concessions on our pilot group, such as training on days off, our vacation, and PBS...........
