We already do it for the passengers. Might as well do it for the pilots, too.

if you think we are the financial problem that CAL is experiencing, your nuts. CAL management has always gotten by, at the expense of their workforce, the same BS is going on here...............looking to cuts costs, cheap cheap cheap cheap, sure Larry Will get his $7,000,000.00 annual salary, yet CAL is still working under a concessionary contract, just the way it is

Yea that's exactly what I'm saying! I am saying CAL has had it in for us for a while, if you worked here maybe you'd realize that. Why dont you take a good hard look at CAL, how they treat employees, and how they run their operation. But I guess everything is going well over in fantasy land for you.

Why do you have to go there? With all due respect... OO operates and agressive business, but the implication they cheat, treat employees poorly (make employees sleep in planes), and bottom feed is insane.

Make no mistake, I'm not a cool-aid kid, I voted for ALPA, but I can't let a stupid comment like that go unanswered.

There's more to it than that. A lot of the events between CAL and XJT over the last two years have been driven by not only business decisions but also mgmt. egos on both sides.

I was in a recent recurrent class and one of the reasonable and reliable upper mgmt types was in to speak and answer questions. It was stated that our most recent offer to CAL (I'm assume it's been rejected) was lower than any other offers and lower than any current CBA/contract. This is where Larry "the bean-counting bobble head" Kellner's ego comes in. He could have easily been a stand-up individual and said, "XJT, you thought you could play with the big dog. You finally realized that you can't and you need us. We'll take you up on your offer." I understand business decisions, like diversifying regional feeds and lowering costs. Instead, he is determined to erase XJT from existence.

Let me add that I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories or live in paranoia land. In fact, I'm usually naively optimistic. But not in this case.

Not so much, but I am a realist.

Our Frontier codeshare will be ending soon. Approximately 100 newhires were sent packing. Upgrades were canceled. CA's who are only days away from taking their FED ride have been told they will not have the chance to do so and have since been assigned a FO schedule. Add to that mix, the likely loss of all 50 seat CAL flying.

But not once have I considered it F9's fault.. or that they are out to get us.. It's just business in my fantasy world.

That is a possibility. My prospective is an outside one.

Frontier is not CAL. There is a personal animosity at the top of both sides between these two companies. The arrogance at the top is leading this. Not to say the buy-out would be the end of the world for XJTs pilot group, but the reasons for why this has been coming are VERY frustrating.

I must say JB, you are clueless. “If the purchase goes forth” there will be no change in our flying seeing that we will both be operated COMPLETELY separate. Just take a look at ASA.

As for Mesa, you do realize that our guarantees and QOL policies are arguably the best in the nation and have been for decades. Yes we don’t have a contract but SKW has proven their willingness to abide by and improve upon it more than any other union carrier has. If you ask most ASA pilots you’ll hear that SKW has continued to improve their working conditions and QOL above and beyond what has been agreed upon in their TA. JO and team have never accomplished 1% of what Jerry and friends have created.

Not Kool-Aid just 35 years of facts. Argue as you will; I’m just glad as I’m sure most will agree, that I don’t have to share the same flight deck with you and your ignorance.

Good day.

So is LK egotistical or a bean-counter? I'm confused.
