Question Pinnacle hiring RJ Captains?

I received an email dated 29 April stating Pinnacle is hiring RJ Captains off the street. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Email from who? As far as I know 9E only hire FOs. Nobody has benn hired as direct captain entry. Also attrition has slowed down a bit, and compared to last year we are better staffed. If 9E was to hire street capts they would have done that last year.

No, we are NOT hiring CRJ street CA's. You can come here as an FO and after 100 hours in the RJ and all the other CA upgrade mins (I believe its these mins..) -3500TT/1500Multi/1000turbine- you can put your bid in for CA. If you can hold the bid you go to upgrade class. Currently your only hope for a quick upgrade is into DTW, possibly MEM. MSP is not growing currently with the XJ growth and with the new -900 rates in ATL and more airplanes coming online the commuters from the SE and others who are looking for something new to fly for a couple more bucks are bidding the -900. You can expect to be at PNCL a total of 2-2.5 years before you can hold a CA line. If you come as an FO, you are looking at 3-6 months for rsv. I am looking to upgrade at the end of the summer and at 2 years of seniority I still will have a couple months on reserve in MEM, I would be right on the border of rsv/line in DTW.

Quick upgrade exists, but your QOL will be rough and once we do get a contract the 100 hour to upgrade (I call it quick CA) will disappear. I know many many FO's (pretty much my entire new hire class that I have run into lately) are waiting til next spring where they can guarantee they will hold a line and will have off all the holidays. I personally want TPIC and a respectable paycheck but to each their own.

Hope it helps.
