If she's really a good chick (hopefully so) and there are elaborate wedding plans, then go to the wedding. If she's not worth blowing off an airline class date for, then don't marry her.
It's not like this is FEDEX...regional jobs are a dime a dozen.

I have to side with the 2 last posters. Love and romance aside, the reality of airline life is that you are away alot when most familys are together. It's time to test her felxability. What happens when you are on a 3 day trip over christmas, get called out when the inlaws are coming over for thanksgiving, or aren;t there on your first anniversary because you are on reserve in some flop house.

If the girl is worth marrying then put the job on hold. Most girls dream about their wedding since they are 6 years old, so if you really like the girl, don't half ass it. Don't get me wrong, a person's career is VERY important, but it's not everything, so don't give everything for it. There are lots of airline pilots on this message board. Read their posts and then notice how many of them seem like unhappy people. Quite a few, huh? The airline job isn't everything, so don't treat it like it is.
