So is the former xjet 145 operation at LAX going to be substituted by CRJs?

nope, it will use former ExpressJet 145's and fortunately for those of us who get furloughed under our new owner Skywest Holdings, they will give us preferential interviews at Skywest Holdings to fly the same planes and routes back at year 1 pay. They're really considerate over there.

Why would you have to interview if you're furloughed?

because SKW not XJT will probably do the flying ...get it.....

Every time I hear/read about this XJT/OO deal I throw up a little in my mouth. I hope this s### wont happen!

Yeah it really sucks to have to go back to the bottom of the pile. I wish there was a way to earn pilot pay consummate with one's experience level, but this is what the glorious unions have given us. SKW is a good company, they are in a good position in this lean time. I only hope that they don't bite off too much and go under.

We really do have all of our eggs in two baskets (I understand that the Midwest stuff is operating at a loss) so diversifying into CAL and Airways when MESA eats it will help us to weather the looming United shut down. Hopefully there will not be too much loss of capacity in these next years and we can all remain employed. The next year or two will make or break a lot of our future careers in the cockpit.

What? They're not going to merge the seniority list?

I've been told when they take people out of the pool to put them in class (don't think it's happened yet) they take the most experienced people first, and not whoever interviewed first. Not sure if this is how all pools work, but there you go.

I thought mins were still 500/50. At least thats what the website shows.

But yeah, still into a pool.
