If you're unwilling to research real facts, don't post.

Do you have a source for this "announcement"?

I think Tony is thinking of the same info that I heard. If my memory serves me, somebody from XJT openly said it was cutting its flying by %30.

I would research myself, but there have been more than a dozen threads with 50+ responses about XJT & SKW in the last few weeks.

I'm sure SAAb knows the letter/rumor that I'm referring to

they are getting 65 planes for United...will be opening ORD, DEN, and SFO bases. Should be starting the flying by the end of november and are in talks to get 30 more planes by January

Skywest to lose 65 planes with a possibility of 30 more to follow....

Good one dude, that's funny!

You know, us XJT pilots "stealing" SkyWest's flying with our bottom feeding contract and poor wages.

We are cutting 30% of our Branded flying in late August. It's amazing how people get facts wrong.

30% of our Branded flying equates to 11 planes. Those 11 planes are going to our Charter division. So if you use the whole 10 pilots per plane equation, we would only need to furlough 110 pilots. However, they are going to Charter, so it is offset somewhat. Plus, plans change day-to-day. Who knows where our airplanes could wind up in the future. All I know is we continually try and find new business and haven't furloughed a pilot yet. That is a management I can appreciate.

Yeah I wish we could get a sweat deal like that.

Oh and it will all be done with 50-seat ERJ's to spite all those 70-seat lovers out there.
