I was merely quoting the CA who told me that. I did not write I think that. There's the difference. Personally I do not what NWA thinks of Pinnacle of Mesaba and I don't care because in the end NWA management is driven by their own agendas, whatever they maybe. It should be an interesting year. I hope we all survive this relatively unscathed.

That'll never go over with DALPA. It's a non-starter for the SLI.

I have no idea what the DTW ground support has been like lately, but the MSP ground crews have been good for the last few months.

You make no sense. Do you fly for DAL? Otherwise how would you know that? At any case why would DALPA or for that matter any NWA pilot group against that when stapling Mesaba to the bottom of the NWA/DAL seniority list will only add protection for the mainline pilots in case NWA/DAL starts to furlough pilots. Only ones who might object might be the top 100 senior pilots at Mesaba. A Senior CA at NWA told me that he and others tried to do this in 2007 when NWA was buying Mesaba.

Yea Compass also wanted NWA senority numbers and the NWA pilots said no way jose. And DALPA will have a say in that matter as well seeing as they are negotiating with NWA MEC on how to integrate thier seniority lists...

Whatever, if you say so. Obviously you must fly for Comair so you have an interest in this to go the other way.

I like how NWA pilots knocked up management (voted to approve and create) to create Compass and is now treating it like it is a redheaded, deformed child that they don't want.

You created it, deal with it. Same goes for actual children.

Ain't that the truth! My sentiment exactly. That is really funny. I like the terms you have used to describe the situation because that describes it accurately in a nutshell. Mesaba is the "actual" children and Compass is now treated as a redheaded deformed child they don't even want to think about.

Yes I do fly for Delta and the problem is that we have over 7000 pilots while NW has 5000. By adding Mesaba and Compass to the NW pilot's list, that will bring the totals closer together. In any SLI, if a Mesaba or Compass pilot ended up senior to a DL pilot, that would be unacceptable to DALPA. For it to work, No matter how the lists were merged, the Mesaba and Compass guys would have to be stapled to the bottom of the DL/NW merged list. I think that those guys might have a problem with that seeing that they would claim that they should be ratioed in or have DOH. Plus, since they are wholly owned, I think the Comair pilots might try to insert themselves in the process. My personal feeling is to just divest any wholly owned regionals. I'm thinking that Midwest needs to be sold too. Get back to the core business of transporting people and quit contracting it out to the lowest bidder.
