Again. Get a dog.

Pathetic. Amazing what a little confidence will do for some people.

Did you get that from a little blue pill?

Take a look at the total number of planes still in operation on the NWA side (I am assuming WORST case that all the -900 flying is gone). We have roughly 129 aircraft in operation for NWA. Take that number and multiply by 10. That is a very rough number on how many we need on the seniority list. That is a 5:1 ratio. Now PNCL runs lean so the training dept guys and check airman would be included in that number so in reality we would be staffed less than the "ideal" 5:1 but for this company that is plenty. I personally think the -900 flying will get worked out. I think this is but a pawn in the NWA/DL and PNCL pilot contract (thats just my opinion I have no rumors or facts to back that up). So if you are a seniority number higher than 1290 I would worry more than a 800 number. I am worried though (not necessarily about an immediate furlough because I am a good bit higher than 200 off the bottom) about how long I will be stuck as an FO, especially if things fizzle with the contract. If I am able to keep a good QOL and make $40K or more into my 3rd year as an FO I will still wish I was a CA, but if I am still making $30K/yr into year 3 on the FO side I am going to be a bit more mad at myself for being arrogant to think that I would get to upgrade as soon as I had the age regardless of the downhill decline the entire economy and industry has been headed.

yeah i am not sure pinnacle will be furloughing. like everyone said we only have like 60-70 pilots over on the dal side and right now we aren't even staffed good on the nwa side. those guys could EASILY come back and blend in and we would probably still be understaffed. like higney said we would need 1290 pilots just to staff the planes on the nwa side. and looking at the seniority list i dont think we have that many pilots right now.

First, the ATL flying is still small enough to absorb back into DTW/MEM and bring us to normal staffing levels (rather than understaffed).

Second, when the new TA is passed, it will result in several work rule changes that will require increased head count.

The only way we furlough is if we start to lose NW flying. I was denied a trip trade this month switching a 4-day highspeed for a 4-day trip in overtime... Why? Because a 4-day highspeed requires 5 days of reserves instead of 4, and they couldn't lose that 1 FO reserve. We're definitely still understaffed.
