Yep...I'd rather work 14 days at a good place-of-work than 10 at a lousy one LoL

Airsupport

It's refreshing to see someone who is positive and "dare I say" takes pride in their company.

I am going to revive this thread a few months into a new contract. I enjoy my days off and enjoy everyone I work with. There is great potential here (9E) but I will not stand here and be a cheerleader for the place. I am not paid and treated well enough (really just respected) to try and change the notion that everyone else at any other regional thinks they are at a better place just because they have new (and far more current that 1999) payrates. We shall see if things get better or if this whole place implodes with the DL/NWA merger. Time will tell. Until then people will be all over these boards talking about how bad this place is when they have either never worked here, been turned away, or just "heard". I have friends at AWAC, XJT, and FDX that have all complained about some of the same crap Pinnacle guys complain about- money isn't everything. You can pay someone more but if they have to commute and wait to upgrade sometimes money isn't everything. I can see what Airsupport is saying- only going to work 10 days a month and having 20 to enjoy for yourself is huge in QOL. I work more than 10 but still hold a good QOL but as soon as I get bought off and scheduling makes me the #1 person to abuse I quickly lose all enthusiasm towards this company.

Tpersuit....stop posting on pinnacle threads and stop thinking everyone has a wife and kids....some people still are single or live with some roommates....amazingly you can live off $22,000....

ps....your not making big bucks....teachers make more than your salary. And nothing goes into full flame mode until you make a stupid comment.

If you don't work for mainline Delta why are you sticking up for them so hard. I think if there was some real conspiracy at attacking the mainline guys they could.... gasp..... hold their own???

You're just an incredible suck up to those who you envy. And the bashing, well it is obvious who is doing the bashing (we don't feel sorry for...). Look, all regional jobs seem to have horrible pay and QOL. Pinnacle pilots know that as well as anyone and are trying to raise the bar. If we all stand together (yes, you too, tpersuit), and demand each and every company pay better, we'll make progress. We won't if we just give a load of crud to someone who is scraping by during an attempt at a new contract.

And I have news for you.... if said Pinnacle pilot (the guy you like to hate with a wife and kids who makes 22 Gs a year) goes on strike, 22 a year will be a luxury. I would be hard pressed to find a pilot at Pinnacle (who wants a good contract) who would cross the line just to put his family first to stave off the initial shock. It's all about what happens in the long run.

We know that at a minimum 99.4% of us will absolutely stand together for this contract.

I work in base, do highspeeds, and hardly work. Considering I fly about 35 hours a month and get paid 75hrs, my hourly rate really isn't too shabby. I live in base, and I leave home at 745p and am in bed again by 830a. I'm in Bangkok right now since I have 6 days off in a row. Chalk me up as another person who is happy at Pinnacle - And hopes to be happier when we get a fair contract.

How happy is the guy on the bottom of the seniority list, getting 10 days off? Even Mesa guys can be happy that can hold good schedules. What's you point?
